Gameweek 15 Review

One of our regular contributors is Sam FPL. He always provides excellent insights in both the data and eye test sense. His Gameweek 15 review is especially helpful this week to identify any players who could potentially be transferred in or captained as a differential before the World Cup breaks allows us to use a free Wildcard.

I would also recommend all the players mentioned in his post from my analysis.

De Bruyne – Captaincy Pick

Kevin De Bruyne was my captaincy pick last week and he repaid the faith with a solid 7 point return for his owners.

Once again, Erling Haaland is an injury doubt for the weekend due to his ongoing foot issue and Kevin De Bruyne looks to be the pick this week for captaincy.

Cancelo Available for Gameweek 16

João Cancelo has been one of the most reliable fantasy assets this season, until last week!

The Portuguese fullback decided to get himself red carded in the first half of the match and earn himself a -2 for his efforts.

Lucky for owners, due to the red card not being due to violent conduct, Cancelo served his suspension in the mid-week League Cup tie and will be back and available for Gameweek 16.

How good is that!

Mitrovic Injury

Aleksander Mitrovic’s injury woes appear to be continuing with reports from Serbia that Mitrovic will miss the opening match of the World Cup and hence his Gameweek 16 fixture with Fulham.

These are currently unconfirmed reports and I would leave Mitrovic in my Starting XI. I would definitely recommend to have your bench in an order that you are happy with.

Darwin – 1 Week Punt

As mentioned previously, the World Cup wildcard gives us the opportunity to take a one week punt on a player this gameweek as we can ship them out for free over the the break.

Darwin Nunez has had a mixed start to life in the Premier League. He has scored some great goals but also missed some sitters and earned himself a red card already.

Liverpool play through him quite a bit and he could pay dividends against a managerless Southampton in their clash at Anfield.

Dejan Kulusevski – 1 Week Punt

To continue with the theme of 1 week punts, Dejan Kulusevski is another enticing option.

Managers have potentially forgotten about the Tottenham midfielder who was hot property for FPL lineups in the opening weeks.

With a home fixture against Leeds who have conceded goals in their last 7 matches, he could be a great inclusion in your starting XI.
