Best of Fantasy Premier League Twitter Gameweek 15

Disaster at Anfield unfolded in Gameweek 14, with Liverpool losing to a team in the relegation zone for the second week running. It is hard to pinpoint what has happened to the Reds this season, but they have gone off the boil, especially from a defensive perspective. As a result, I would recommend transferring out any Liverpool defenders for the foreseeable future.

In their weekend fixtures, Arsenal and Newcastle ran riot, scoring five and four goals. Both teams have the data and the eye test to suggest this trend will continue and make them worth an investment in your FPL team.

Gameweek 15 is the second last week before the World Cup break and everyone wants to start the break with a great rank and a boost of confidence so make sure you take in the below recommendations!

Saka Is Okay

Arsenal young gun and England International Bukayo Saka sent worries throughout Arsenal and England fans alike as he went down with injury in the first half of the weekend’s match. With the World Cup only a few weeks away, many feared the worst.

Lucky for Saka, his fans and FPL managers, he is reported to have shaken off his injury and is back in training which we love to see.

Manchester City Home Form

If you havn’t noticed already, Manchester City are in very good form and scoring many goals along the way.

One thing that may have gone under the radar is their absolute dominance in home fixtures this season. The below graphic helps to display that putting your trust in a Manchester City home match is a great bet.

Captaincy Pick – De Bruyne

With Erling Haaland being a major injury doubt for the weekend, Kevin De Bruyne looks to be the pick this week for captaincy.

His form has been immaculate and we could see him drift further in to the box if his partner in crime Haaland does not feature up top for the Citizens. He also only played 20 minutes during the midweek Champions League fixture.

Transfers Leading Up To World Cup

As I have mentioned in previous weeks, during the World Cup we have all kindly been given a free wildcard for the duration of the tournament. With this in mind, it is a good idea to only focus on the upcoming two fixtures before the World Cup as you can then transfer these players out for free.

Below are some transfer options that are well worth considering.

Heung-Min Son Injury

Son’s up and down start to the 22/23 season has taken another bad turn with the South Korean requiring facial surgery for an injury sustained during Tottenham’s midweek Champions League match.

This will see the South Korean out for the next 2 matches and potentially for the World Cup.
