Best of Premier League Twitter Gameweek 11

We’re really getting stuck into the 22/23 FPL season now, and we will see the men become separated from the boys over the coming weeks.

Injuries are rampant with our favourite players. Liverpool are below Bournemouth on the table, and Arsenal are still sitting at the peak of the table above Manchester City. Anyone predicting this before the season would’ve been laughed out of the room, but here we are. The important thing is to learn from what we’ve seen and use that to make the best FPL decisions possible that will have us shushing our mini-leagues like we’re prime Jose Mourinho.

There’s plenty to take note of this week so let’s get straight into it.

Busy Upcoming Schedule

What’s better than a weekend of football? Mid-week fixtures of football!

Gameweek 11 planning has caused some stress for managers with injuries to key players such Trent Alexander-Arnold and Aleksander Mitrovic in recent weeks.

It will be important to keep in mind that Gameweek 12 starts on Tuesday! So if a player in your squad is injured for Gameweek 11, chances are he will miss Gameweek 12 also.

FPL Heisenberg has done us a favour and provided a summary of how busy the schedule for the next 3 gameweeks will be.

Stay Calm

Had a tough gameweek last week? Stressed about your rank or league position? Time to relax!

FPL Focal has kindly provided a breakdown of how many points you would need to be at different milestone ranks right now. Note that the difference between 1 million and 300k is only 27 points! That’s one or two good gameweeks! The rankings are still incredibly tight.

Stay true to your strategies, take the advice on this website and play the long game.

Manchester City v Liverpool

In recent seasons this fixture has been a battle of the titans that had a huge bearing on the title race as these two have been the top contenders.

We come into this week’s Manchester City v Liverpool fixture with almost an expectation of Manchester City trouncing Liverpool due to the current form of each respective side.

For those looking to ship out their Manchester City attacking assets due to their Gameweek 12 blank, I would wait 1 more week.

As we see below, De Bruyne and Foden have scored points against Liverpool when the Reds were in their prime! Just imagine what is possible for this weekend.

Reece James Injury

Reece James hobbled off injured mid-week during Chelsea’s Champions League tie.

The fullback was diagnosed with a knee injury at the time but needed to wait for scan results to understand the full severity. Luckily for James and Chelsea, it is quite minor and will not keep him out for long.

As seen below, the reports are that James will miss the weekend tie against Aston Villa but is hoping to return in either Gameweek 12 or 13. With the gameweeks so congested at the moment, it would be recommended to transfer him out if you are lacking available players.

5 Yellow Card Suspension Reminder

For those of you unfamiliar, any player earning five bookings from their side’s first 19 Premier League matches will serve a one-match ban in the same competition.

Therefore, the players listed below are in danger of having a week off soon unless they can stay on their best behaviour.
